Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients and/or families for imaging procedures and examinations.
  • Conduct procedures/examinations following protocols/guidelines as directed.
  • Facilitate the exchange of patient information.
  • Recognize pathology that requires additional imaging to provide results.
  • Relay abnormal anatomy to Radiologist.

Operating Room Imaging
  • Facilitate OR imaging schedule and assign appropriate equipment.
  • Perform imaging for complex OR procedures requiring specialized training and/or extensive knowledge.
  • Coordinate maintenance of OR imaging equipment.

Customer Service and Communication
  • Act as a customer advocate and strive to better meet the needs of, and to support, patients and/or families.
  • Utilize a customer focus to complete assignments and/or interact with customers in a courteous, attentive and conscientious manner.

Serve as a Resource
  • Demonstrate advanced competence in specific knowledge and skills related to OR imaging.
  • Effectively communicate with team members and contribute to their growth by sharing knowledge, experience, and skills.

Process Improvement
  • Identify, lead, and direct process/quality improvement/assurance activities relevant to OR imaging.
  • Measure and present results of improvement efforts and ongoing performance measures.
