Plano, Texas, United States InsideHigherEd Full time

The University of Virginia is a premier institution for medical research and clinical care in the Commonwealth of Virginia, with a multidisciplinary Neuro-Oncology program that involves medical and surgical neuro-oncologists, neuropsychologists, radiation specialists, neuropathologists, and neuroradiologists. Our team provides state-of-the-art treatment for brain and spinal cord tumors, including clinical trials for malignant or refractory brain tumors.

We offer a highly collaborative environment, with access to several research-oriented schools and centers across the University grounds, providing a rich platform for shared discovery. UVA Health has been named a comprehensive cancer center by the National Cancer Institute (NCI), one of only a few elite centers in the United States to receive this designation.

Our programs serve 3.2 million people in Virginia and eastern West Virginia, making us a leader in cancer research, diagnosis, treatment, and prevention. Located east of the Blue Ridge Mountains, Charlottesville is a vibrant city with a thriving arts and music scene, pristine nature, local wineries and breweries, and a small-town charm that makes it an excellent place to live and work.

This position will remain open until filled. We are seeking a qualified candidate who can contribute to our mission of advancing medical knowledge and improving patient outcomes.

Key qualifications include an MD, MD/PhD, DO or other equivalent terminal degree, and board certification or eligibility at the time of hire. Specialized fellowship training in a related field is strongly preferred.

To apply, please submit your cover letter, CV/resume, statement of contributions to the UVA Health ASPIRE values, and professional reference list online. A competitive salary, space, and start-up package will be offered to the successful candidate.
