About the Role

The Pairing Frameworks team at Apple is seeking a skilled software engineer to build solutions that unlock the power of the Apple Watch by developing infrastructure to support its unique relationship to other devices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Apple Watch software teams across the organization to build system frameworks.
  • Work with the networking team and other cross-functional partners to develop and improve pairing and communication technologies.
  • Contribute to the development of setup and pairing technologies, providing a seamless experience for new Apple Watch users.
  • Develop and maintain high-traffic system frameworks and related infrastructure.

Requirements

  • BS CE/CS or equivalent experience required.
  • Proficient in Objective-C and Swift.
  • Experience building high-traffic system frameworks and related infrastructure.
  • Systems knowledge and hands-on experience with inter-process communication.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience improving and expanding on existing complex projects and systems.
  • Defined and driven large-scale projects across different levels of the stack.

Compensation and Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. The base pay range for this role is between $175,800 and $312,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs.

Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
