Robotics Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Robotics Engineer to join our team at Escalon Recruiting Services in the Technology industry. This role plays a pivotal part in automating production processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality.
Key Responsibilities
As a Robotics Engineer in the Technology sector, individuals are tasked with a variety of responsibilities that are critical to the success of automated systems in the plant. These include:
- Designing and developing robotic systems that can be integrated seamlessly into manufacturing processes.
- Researching to determine the most effective automation tools and systems for specific production needs.
- Programming and testing robots to ensure they function according to specifications with maximum efficiency and safety.
- Troubleshooting and maintaining robotic systems and software to reduce downtime and optimize performance.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including mechanical and electrical engineers, to enhance product design and operational workflows.
- Providing training and support to staff and stakeholders on new robotic systems and technologies.
- Staying updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and regulatory standards in robotics and automation.
Key Tasks and Duties
The daily activities of a Robotics Engineer are diverse and aim to cover all phases of robotic system development and integration:
- Analyse and evaluate manufacturing processes to identify areas where automation can be applied.
- Design and simulate robotic systems using CAD and other engineering software tools.
- Program robots using various programming languages (e.g., C++, Python, Java).
- Perform integration of robots with physical systems and software, ensuring compatibility and functional performance.
- Carry out rigorous testing phases including debugging and system validation.
- Maintain documentation for system configurations, programming standards, and user manuals.
- Lead or participate in project meetings and provide technical guidance and insights.
Education and Certification Requirements
To qualify for a position as a Robotics Engineer in the Technology industry, candidates must meet certain educational and certification benchmarks:
- A bachelor's degree in Robotics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related field is essential.
- Postgraduate degrees or specializations in robotics or automation can enhance job prospects and knowledge depth.
- Relevant certifications from recognized professional bodies in engineering or robotics add value and demonstrate proficiency.
- Hands-on experience with robotics hardware, software, and system integration, typically obtained through internships or previous job roles, is highly beneficial.
