About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Plasma Processing Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing donor record files to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance with cGMP regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor inventory levels and manage the stockroom to ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Assist in the opening and closing of lots for usage, maintaining a clean and professional environment.
  • Communicate with management regarding pertinent information regarding work areas.
  • Identify areas of continuous improvement for your area of responsibility.
  • Perform plasma and sample processing according to cGMPs, customer specifications, State and Federal regulations, and Company policies.
  • Classify and document product according to donor programs.
  • Provide support for casing, staging, quarantine, and QA release of all products.
  • Perform quality control on various laboratory equipment, including freezer/refrigerator temperatures, Refractometer, HCT, PCS2 Machines, weight scales, or other equipment.
  • Manage product packing and inventory within freezers for maximum efficiency.
  • Control disposition of unsuitable product with concurrent documentation.
  • Prepare product shipment and verification.
  • Receive inventory and maintain storage area for incoming supplies.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Available to work flexible and/or extended shifts.
  • Occupational exposure to blood-borne pathogens.
  • Demonstrated basic knowledge of computer equipment and software (DMS with training).
  • Demonstrated accuracy in completing documentation.
Working Conditions

The employee is required to enter an environment with a temperature of -30°C for short periods of time. Ability to sit or stand for up to four (4) hours at a time. Ability to tug, lift, and pull up to fifty (50) pounds. Be able to bend, stoop, or kneel. Cold tolerance in storage freezers and adaptation to wide changes in temperature when handling samples and product.
