Senior Fabrication Welder

Evers & Sons Inc. is a renowned construction and energy sector company with over 40 years of excellence. We are seeking an experienced Senior Fabrication Welder to join our fabrication team in constructing robust infrastructure projects.

Job Summary

• We require a skilled Senior Fabrication Welder to perform complex welds according to engineering specifications, ensuring high-quality structures that meet client requirements and safety regulations.
• The ideal candidate will have expertise in structural welding, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work as part of a dynamic team.

Responsibilities

1. Perform advanced welding operations using Flux Core and MIG techniques in a shop environment, following blueprints and specifications.
2. Set up, operate, and maintain welding equipment, understanding technical aspects such as heat settings, voltage, and amperage necessary for different jobs.
3. Inspect and test welds and structure, ensuring they meet company standards, client requirements, and safety regulations.
4. Collaborate with project teams to interpret designs and plan welding activities.
5. Manage materials to ensure proper usage and inventory levels; maintain equipment and handle materials properly to avoid waste or damage.
6. Mentor and train junior welders and peers in welding techniques and safety protocols.

Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in structural welding, particularly in a fabrication shop setting.
• High school diploma or GED required; technical training or certification in structural welding highly preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to operate positioners and perform welds that meet strict specifications.
• Strong proficiency in reading and interpreting mechanical drawings and blueprints.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
