Salary Range: $120,000 - $180,000 per year

Job Description

We are seeking an accomplished Structural Engineering Project Manager to lead our team in Salt Lake City, Utah. This role is ideal for an experienced professional with a strong background in managing complex structural engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversight of all phases of structural engineering projects, including project initiation, design, budgeting, scheduling, and closeout.
  • Leadership of client management, project team leadership, and strategic decision-making throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Supervision of the preparation and review of detailed structural calculations, drawings, and specifications.
  • Maintenance of high-quality designs that adhere to company standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
  • Cultivation of strong relationships with clients, fostering trust and ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Collaboration with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines to ensure cohesive project delivery and seamless integration of structural systems with other design elements.
  • Mentorship and development of junior and mid-level engineers, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment that encourages professional growth.
  • Evaluation of potential risks and development of mitigation strategies to ensure compliance with relevant building codes, safety standards, and environmental regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering; Master's degree preferred.
  • At least 10 years of experience in structural engineering, with a focus on project management and complex structures.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required, SE license highly preferred.
  • Strong proficiency in structural analysis and design software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, ETABS, and SAP2000.
  • Demonstrated experience in project management, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
  • In-depth knowledge of structural engineering principles, materials, and mechanics.
  • Excellent understanding of building codes, standards, and construction practices.
  • Exceptional client management skills with a history of successful client relations and business development.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring abilities, with experience managing project teams and fostering professional development.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare and present technical reports.
