About the Job
This position involves providing day-to-day supervision to probationers who require both intensive and regular probation/parole/post-release supervision. The successful candidate will assess the criminogenic and treatment needs of the probationer, applying evidence-based practices that promote internal change within the probationer.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess the criminogenic and treatment needs of the probationer.
- Develop and manage individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the probationer, district, and community resources.
- Make home and community contacts in accord with case needs and supervision plans.
- Prepare Pre-sentence Investigations, sentencing guidelines, and other reports as assigned.
- Testify and provide sentencing recommendations to the court/attorney.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have a valid operator's license and knowledge in Rehabilitation Counseling, Psychology, Sociology/Social Work, Criminology, English, or related fields. A strong understanding of social casework and treatment methods/therapies is also essential.
