Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Transportation Infrastructure Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the planning, design, construction, and maintenance of transportation infrastructure projects in Waukesha County.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement transportation infrastructure projects from conceptualization to completion.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure effective project management and coordination.
  • Prepare detailed reports, plans, and specifications for transportation infrastructure projects.
  • Analyze traffic data and make recommendations for improving traffic flow and safety.
  • Conduct environmental assessments and develop strategies to minimize environmental impact.
  • Prepare and administer contracts for transportation infrastructure projects.
  • Manage elements of the department's computerized highway asset management system.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in civil, environmental engineering, or a related field.
  • Proficient in CADD, GIS, and Civil3D.
  • Strong understanding of Wisconsin DOT and AASHTO standards.
  • Working knowledge of federal, state, and local statutes and regulations governing highway design and construction.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders.
