Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Youth Program Coordinator to join our team at Dynamic Service Solutions. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing recreational and vocational programs for youth in care.

About the Role

  • You will work closely with staff and community partners to develop and implement engaging activities that meet the diverse needs of the youth population.
  • Your primary responsibility will be to create a safe and inclusive environment that fosters socialization, learning, and personal growth.
  • You will work extended hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by the position.

Key Responsibilities

Program Planning and Implementation

You will be responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating recreational and vocational activities that cater to the diverse interests and abilities of the youth.

  • Create and maintain a monthly activity calendar, ensuring a mix of on-campus and off-campus events.
  • Collaborate with staff and community partners to develop and implement new program ideas.
Facilitation and Supervision

You will play a key role in facilitating and supervising group activities, ensuring the safety and well-being of the participants.

  • Develop and implement effective strategies for managing challenging behavior.
  • Maintain accurate records of program participation and progress.
Communication and Collaboration

You will be the primary point of contact for communication between staff, youth, and community partners regarding program-related matters.

  • Effectively communicate program plans, outcomes, and challenges to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with staff to ensure seamless integration of program activities into the overall service delivery model.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent, with an associate degree or higher preferred.
  • At least 2-5 years of experience working with youth in a recreational or vocational setting.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively in English and Spanish.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
Working Conditions and Physical Demands

This role requires a flexible work schedule, including extended hours, weekends, and holidays. You may also be required to travel for trainings, conferences, or to transport youth to destinations within the U.S.

The physical demands of this role include standing, walking, sitting, reaching, climbing stairs, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, talking, and hearing. You may occasionally lift up to 30 pounds.

The salary range for this position is $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
