As a Product Manager in the Cloud Security team, you'll play a pivotal role in elevating Confluent Cloud security to new heights. Your primary objective will be to make Confluent Cloud the most secure data streaming platform, leveraging industry-leading data encryption capabilities and highly secure connections to enterprise data and core systems.

To achieve this, you'll partner closely with our core engineering team to prioritize customer needs and collaborate with other engineering teams to ensure our Confluent Cloud clusters scale, perform, and deliver an exceptional customer experience.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Setting the strategy: Identify opportunities to better meet customer promises and expectations.

• Defining the roadmap: Collaborate with engineering counterparts to realize the strategy.

• Understanding our users: Conduct interviews and analyze usage data to define personas, user journeys, and key jobs to be done.

• Working across teams: Foster a shared understanding and direction across engineering, product, business development, support, sales, and marketing teams within Confluent and externally with our partners.

• Managing the whole lifecycle: Drive multi-company, cross-functional initiatives from conception through initial delivery and ongoing iteration after launch.

• Closing the loop: Establish quantitative and qualitative targets, measure performance, share results with stakeholders, and incorporate those learnings into the next development cycle.

• Managing complexity: Deliver value while navigating the surprises and challenges of a rapidly evolving product, ambitious partnership targets, and a quickly growing organization.

In this role, you'll be expected to bring:

• 3+ years of software product management experience

• Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills

• The ability to empathize with Confluent Cloud users to provide them with a great experience

• In-depth understanding of data security and encryption patterns

• Familiarity with authentication and secret management best practices

• Experience working with customers in regulated industries such as Financial Services and Healthcare
