Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Advanced Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Viera Hospital Inc in Florida. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong clinical skills, excellent communication, and teamwork abilities.

About the Role

The successful candidate will provide high-quality patient care in our intensive care unit, working closely with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in respiratory care, with experience in critical care settings and proficiency in advanced life support techniques.

Responsibilities
  • Provide expert-level respiratory care to critically ill patients, including ventilation management, oxygen therapy, and aerosol administration.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient care, including vital signs, medication administration, and therapeutic interventions.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions and address any concerns or questions.
  • Participate in ongoing education and professional development, staying up-to-date with the latest advances in respiratory care and critical care medicine.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must possess:

  • A degree from an accredited School of Respiratory Care.
  • A current license as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) from the Florida Department of Health.
  • Certifications in ACLS, PALS, and BLS Healthcare Provider.
  • At least three years of progressive clinical experience in intensive care settings, with a minimum of one year in a similar role at Viera Hospital Inc.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Able to work effectively in stressful environments, make quick decisions concerning patient care, and respond appropriately to life-threatening situations.
Salary and Benefits
