Job Title: Registered Nurse

Job Summary:
Urban Recovery is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in providing care and treatment for individuals suffering from substance and alcohol use disorder. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for coordinating the provision of nursing services, promoting the physical and mental health of clients, and working collaboratively with the interdisciplinary treatment team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer and document medication safely and accurately according to established policies and procedures.
  • Conduct waived testing for urine, blood work, and glucose monitoring.
  • Provide direct care for patients consistent with the philosophy and goals of the nursing department.
  • Develop and assist staff in identifying and addressing patient problems by formulating goal-oriented plans of care and evaluating care rendered.
  • Assist staff in planning care or discharge and continuing care.
  • Assess changing needs of patients during the shift and adjust assignments as appropriate.
  • Implement and assist staff in patient teaching programs based on specific patient needs.
  • Maintain patient care standards in accordance with regulations of governmental and standardizing agencies.

Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Current New York State Registered Nurse license.
  • Currently registered as a professional registered nurse in good standing.
  • Current Valid BLS/CPR.
  • Two (2) years of experience in nursing.
  • Prior experience in administering medication in a detox/rehab facility setting.
