Job Summary:

We are seeking experienced professionals to join our team as Data Center Technicians. This role involves working in a 24/7 environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and contributing to the overall availability and reliability of our global data centers.

About the Role:

  • Perform server rack installations, hardware break-fix on various components, troubleshooting network issues, and responding to operational incidents that impact service availability.
  • Serve as a primary contact point for both internal and external stakeholders, including engineers, software developers, vendors, and contractors.
  • Participate in scheduled maintenance and change management activities, and contribute to documentation and process improvement initiatives based on your analysis of operational issues.
  • Help train and onboard new team members, and assist in maintaining service level agreements through proactive issue detection and reporting.

Responsibilities:

  • Take ownership of technical issues brought by their customer base, engaging other teams when needed to drive resolution.
  • Solve problems at their root and step back to understand the broader context.

Requirements:

  • 1+ years of relevant experience in data center operations, IT support, or a similar technical field.
  • 1+ years of troubleshooting skills and ability to resolve undefined technical problems.
  • Willingness to participate in a primary responder rotation and support 24/7 data center operations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • An Associate's degree, technical certification, or equivalent professional or military experience in a relevant field (e.g., computer science, networking engineering, etc.).
  • Experience working in a Data Center environment.
  • Understanding of network design, protocols and troubleshooting.
  • Experience managing work and priorities through a ticketing system.
  • Understanding of in-depth hardware knowledge (e.g., PCIe).
