Job Summary

Mental Health Cooperative is seeking a skilled Therapist to join our team. As a Therapist, you will work with individuals and families to promote optimum mental health and provide counseling services to assist in overcoming dependencies and adjusting to life.

Key Responsibilities
  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic frameworks to counsel consumers and patients, individually and in group sessions.
  • Guide consumers in the development of skills and strategies for dealing with their problems using evidence-based modalities.
  • Encourage consumers to express their feelings and discuss what is happening in their lives, helping them to develop insight into themselves and their relationships.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans based on clinical experience and knowledge.
  • Modify treatment activities and approaches as needed to comply with changes in consumers' status.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of counseling programs and consumers' progress in resolving identified problems and moving towards defined objectives.
  • Refer consumers and family members to community resources or to specialists as necessary.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in a Mental Health field.
  • Licensed or license eligible to receive licensure.
  • Valid Tennessee Driver's License.
  • Acceptable Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).
  • Acceptable Criminal Background Investigation.
  • Personal Automobile Insurance.

  • Time Management/Organization: Meet deadlines, prepared for meetings, assessments and care plans completed timely, progress notes entered timely, plan for time off, prioritize well, self-disciplined, and flexible.
  • Integrity and Trust: Honesty, professionalism, dependability, strong follow-through, and approachability.
