Electro Mechanical Technician

At Syntegon Technology, we are seeking an experienced Electro-Mechanical Technician to join our team. As an integral part of our success, you will be responsible for building, commissioning, testing, and presenting our high-speed automated packaging equipment to customers.
Key Responsibilities:- Efficiently build and modify mechanical assemblies per the bill of material and assembly drawings.
- Efficiently wire machines, panels, and control circuitry (up to 575 Volts), adding electrical components based on project layouts and wiring diagrams.
- Position and level system equipment, integrating and interfacing 3rd party functionalities into the packaging lines.
- Up/down load software, flash firmware, perform I/O checks.
- Troubleshoot and problem-solve live power and control circuitry issues.
- Set up parameters and recipes, test, and debug the equipment and application while adjusting assemblies and editing software code.
- Conduct a successful customer factory acceptance test while demonstrating and training customers on equipment operations and equipment functionality.
- Observe all safety regulations, ensure proper protective wear and tools, and inform the supervisor of any safety issues or hazards.
- Contribute to and be responsible for the Quality and Environmental awareness throughout the organization.
- Learn product usage and application through system testing.
- Travel up to 10% of the time.
- Must possess a minimum 4+ year vocational degree in an engineering, electrical, or mechanical discipline.
- Must have a minimum of 3+ years of experience working with and building automated electrical/mechanical manufacturing machinery or packaging equipment.
- Must have at least 2+ years of work or academic experience in reading and interpreting blueprints and wire diagrams.
- Degree preferred in Packaging, Automation, or Mechatronics.
- Passionate and self-motivated.
- Self-organized and priority task-oriented, including maintaining a 6S work environment.
- Able to work efficiently to meet project and department objectives while utilizing best practice methods.
- Able to continuously improve and problem-solve working processes and work environment.
- Team-oriented with excellent communication skills, fostering teamwork and building internal and external customer relationships.
- Experience in building capital equipment, including industrial motion control systems (e.g., Rockwell Automation, Beckhoff Automation, Software & Hardware).
- PC literate with working knowledge of Windows Office.
