Job Overview

We are in search of a Business Development Executive to enhance our operations.

In this role, you will:

Serve as a strategic relationship builder and business developer, dedicated to expanding market presence by identifying and securing new sales from competitively held target accounts, new prospects, and assigned existing accounts. Formulate effective strategies for managing and increasing revenue while executing a business plan aimed at achieving sales quotas and product mix objectives. You will be accountable for achieving financial sales goals.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business, sales, architecture, interior design, marketing, communication, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in consultative B2B, solution-oriented sales with a proven record of generating revenue and meeting sales objectives.
  • Demonstrated success in identifying and cultivating new business opportunities.
  • Ability to provide sales coverage for the designated area without relocation assistance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in the contract office furniture industry or a closely related sector.

  • Strong sales planning capabilities, including research, strategic analysis, problem-solving, and cost-benefit evaluation.
  • Advanced selling techniques, including prospect qualification, lead generation, new business development, account penetration, solutions-based selling, negotiation, and closing skills.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and listening skills to effectively influence target audiences.
  • Proven ability to establish, cultivate, and maintain professional relationships.
  • Strong networking abilities to generate leads and develop new business connections.
  • Excellent organizational, meeting facilitation, and presentation skills.
  • High level of integrity and business ethics.
  • Financial literacy and strong business acumen.
  • Self-motivated, self-directed, and accountable for results.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving environment at all organizational levels.
  • Willingness to work evenings and weekends to attend networking and social events to uncover new business opportunities.
  • Ability to travel daily within the assigned territory up to 70% of the time to meet with clients, dealers, and influencers, with occasional overnight travel as needed.
  • Proficiency in utilizing office automation, communication tools, and software, including CRM technology, used in the Haworth office environment.
