Job Summary

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a highly skilled Radiology Director to lead the planning, direction, and coordination of radiology services across its hospitals, clinics, and ambulatory care facilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in radiology operations, leadership, and strategic planning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement radiology strategic plans and priorities aligned with the overall business goals of Baylor Scott & White Health.
  • Design and implement metrics, dashboards, and tools to monitor service levels, patient satisfaction, and quality of patient care at radiology offices.
  • Run and monitor productivity, quality improvements, safety protocols, and other work processes.
  • Develop and implement radiology policies, procedures, processes, and service guidelines.
  • Direct the selection, development, and operations of new and existing radiology facilities, equipment, vendors, and scope of services offered.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable legal, regulatory, and accreditation requirements related to radiology services.
  • Direct continuous improvement activities and initiatives that streamline operations, implement best practices, and improve patient satisfaction.
  • Select and run delivery of education and training on latest radiology techniques and practices.
  • Plan for future equipment needs, track maintenance of equipment, and recommend purchase of new equipment and imaging technologies.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Graduate from an accredited program in radiologic technology preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in operations of radiology, imaging, or related area, preferably in a multi-site healthcare system.
  • Experience in a leadership role preferred.
  • Certified in radiology with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) preferred.
  • Current state license as Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) preferred.
  • Certified Radiology Administrator (CRA) is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of imaging equipment, technologies, and configurations.
  • Knowledge of applicable regulatory and accreditation requirements for radiology in healthcare.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with physicians, clinicians, and leadership.
