Job Summary

The City of Gary, Indiana is seeking a skilled Production Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our media production team, you will be responsible for planning, capturing, editing, and managing compelling photo and video content for social media, advertising, and public access TV.

Key Responsibilities

* Plan and execute visual content projects, including photo and video shoots, editing, and post-production.
* Collaborate with the communications and media team to produce high-quality visual assets, such as graphics, videos, and photos.
* Work with stakeholders to develop creative ideas for visual communication and help them achieve their vision, goals, and brand voice.
* Schedule recording sessions with clients and key stakeholders, and set up equipment as needed.
* Ensure the capture of high-quality audio, photo, and video footage using professional-grade equipment.
* Manage the editing and post-production process, including color correction, audio clean-up, visual effects, captions, and graphics.

Requirements

* Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as communications, media production, or a related field.
* 2 years of experience in production, including experience with digital tools and equipment.
* Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
