As an After Hours Housing Specialist, also known as the After Hours Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing a safe and supportive environment for teens in our care.

Key Responsibilities
  • On-Call Support: Provide every other week on-call after-hours shift scheduling and coverage, responding to staff calls about youth emergencies.
  • Youth Support: Assist residents with needs, including support, problem-solving, conflict resolution, crisis intervention, enforcing house guidelines, logging, pass-down, cleaning, transportation, and other concerns.
  • Collaboration: Engage with staff members in a collaborative and supportive way to meet the needs of the youth, programs, and staff both in person and on the phone.
  • Ongoing Training: Maintain ongoing training requirements to stay up-to-date with best practices and industry standards.
  • Strength-Based Approach: Engage youth using a strength-based and trauma-informed approach, assisting them as they work towards their goals.
  • Case Management: Work with case management to ensure smooth transitions into and out of units.
  • Licensing Requirements: Ensure files for residents are complete and contain all necessary paperwork to meet grant and funding requirements.
  • Crisis Situations: Assess crisis situations and provide support to staff and youth while communicating with agency leadership as necessary.

Requirements
  • General: High school diploma/GED or high school equivalency, must be 21 years of age or older, 1 year minimum of experience working with youth, DCYF background clearance, acceptable driver's abstract, and a valid driver's license.
  • Physical: Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external clients, ability to read and comprehend materials, ability to operate a phone and computer, and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Compensation Details

The estimated salary for this position is $23-$24 per hour, with opportunities for multilingual pay differential. This is a full-time, on-site position in Everett and Monroe, Washington.
