The Nursing Department at Grassi is seeking an experienced and skilled Associate Director of Nursing to join our team.

About the Role:

  • This senior nursing leadership position plays a crucial role in shaping the delivery of high-quality care to our residents, working closely with the Director of Nursing (DON) to achieve operational excellence.
  • The Associate Director of Nursing will oversee the day-to-day functions of the Nursing Department, ensuring that staffing, scheduling, and resident care meet the highest standards.

Responsibilities:

  1. Lead the development and implementation of nursing care plans, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
  2. Collaborate with the DON to establish strategic visions for the nursing department and operationalize them across the team.
  3. Serve as second-in-command to the DON, representing the DON at meetings and conferences as needed, and assuming the role in their absence.
  4. Maintain accurate patient records, auditing treatments and medications to ensure residents receive proper care.
  5. Ensure all nursing services personnel perform their duties effectively, providing support and guidance when necessary.
  6. Develop and implement Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) programs to drive continuous quality improvement.
  7. Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and coach staff members to enhance their performance.

Requirements:

  • A Master's degree in Nursing and current Connecticut registration/licensure as a registered nurse are essential.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of supervisory experience in long-term care settings is required.
  • BCLS certification and strong knowledge of Infection Control/Antibiotic Stewardship practices are necessary.
  • Strong leadership, management, and communication skills are vital for success in this role.

Salary Range: $85,000 - $115,000 per annum, based on experience and qualifications.
