Job Overview:

Schneider is seeking a dedicated and experienced driver instructor to join our team as a CDL-A Van Truckload Driver Instructor. As an integral part of our training process, you will play a crucial role in shaping the careers of new drivers.

Responsibilities:

  • Craft and deliver comprehensive training programs that align with Schneider's Training Academy guidelines.
  • Coach and mentor new drivers, emphasizing safety, hours of service, trip-planning, and workflow best practices.
  • Provide hands-on training in both the classroom and truck settings.
  • Evaluate trainees' skills, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective measures.
  • Adhere to Schneider's policies, procedures, and DOT regulations.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and certification processes.

Requirements:

  • A valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and minimum 12 months of Class A driving experience.
  • DOT physical card and ability to meet company standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate within a team environment.
