English Teacher Position in Nashville Public Schools

We are seeking an English Teacher to join our team at KIPP Nashville Public Schools. This is a unique opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of students and contribute to the success of our schools.

We operate three elementary schools, three middle schools, and two high schools, with plans to expand to a fourth school in 2025.
Salary and BenefitsThe estimated salary for this position is $60,000 - $98,000 per year, commensurate with experience. Our benefits package includes medical, dental, vision, disability, supplemental insurance, and life insurance policy options. Certificated staff also have access to the Tennessee Consolidated Retirement System pension plan (TCRS).
Job DescriptionThis role involves teaching English Language Arts to students in grades [insert grade level]. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for education, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues. Responsibilities include:
- Planning and delivering engaging lessons that meet the needs of all students
- Assessing student progress and adjusting instruction accordingly
- Building strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
- Maintaining accurate records and reporting student progress
To be considered for this position, you must have:
- A valid Tennessee teaching license or proof of enrollment in a job-embedded Educator Preparation Program
- A conferred Bachelor's degree
- Pass a criminal background check
While not required, we prefer candidates with experience teaching diverse learners, commitment to working with students from educationally under-resourced communities, and a passion for data-driven instruction.
