Behavioral Skills Trainer for Children

Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Registered Behavior Technician to join our team at Zelexa Therapy. As a Behavioral Skills Trainer, you will play a vital role in providing clinical skills instruction and behavior reduction protocols based on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to children with Autism and related developmental disabilities.
About the Role: You will be responsible for providing direct client care in one-on-one and group settings, utilizing intensive teaching and natural environment training arrangements. You will also collect data on observable client behavior, assist with parent/caregiver training, and collaborate with the treatment team to ensure seamless care.
Your Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality ABA therapy services to children with Autism and related developmental disabilities
- Implement prescribed behavior skill acquisition and behavior reduction protocols as assigned by the Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
- Collect, record, and summarize data on client behavior to inform treatment decisions
- Provide support to parents and caregivers through training and guidance
- Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with the treatment team
- Collaborate with the BCBA to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment

Requirements:
- Active RBT certification by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB)
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred
- Experience working with children with Autism and related developmental disabilities
- Ability to kneel, squat, crawl, lift, stand, and sit for extended periods
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel between job sites
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Applied Behavior Analysis, Special Education, Social Work, or related field
- Experience with autism and related disorders
