Job Summary

Neighborhood Pediatrics, PLLC is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Pediatric Healthcare Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare staff, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our pediatric patients and their families.

Responsibilities
  • Take Vital Signs and Record Them: Accurately measure and record patients' vital signs, including temperature, pulse, and blood pressure.
  • Maintain Exam Room Supplies: Ensure that exam rooms are well-stocked with necessary supplies, including medical equipment, gloves, and other essential items.
  • Administer Vaccinations: Safely and effectively administer vaccinations to patients, following established protocols and guidelines.
  • Input Patient Information into EMR: Accurately and efficiently enter patient information into our electronic medical record system.
  • Schedule Appointments: Coordinate patient schedules and appointments, ensuring that patients are seen in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Answer Phones and Return Calls: Respond to patient calls and return messages in a timely and professional manner.
  • Inventory Supplies and Vaccines: Monitor and maintain inventory levels of medical supplies and vaccines, ensuring that we have adequate stock to meet patient needs.
Qualifications
  • Medical Assistant Certification: Possess current certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or equivalent.
  • First Aid and CPR Training: Hold current certification in first aid and CPR, or be willing to obtain training.
  • EPIC Experience: Have experience using EPIC electronic medical record system, or be willing to learn.
  • Basic Computer Skills: Possess basic computer skills and be proficient in using electronic medical record systems.
  • Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare staff.
  • Ability to Lift Heavy Objects: Possess the physical ability to lift heavy objects, as needed.
  • Valid ID and Reliable Transportation: Possess a valid ID and reliable transportation to and from work.
  • Ability to Work with Limited Supervision: Demonstrate the ability to work independently with limited supervision, while maintaining high standards of patient care and safety.
  • Compassionate, Respectful, and Ethical: Possess a compassionate, respectful, and ethical approach to patient care, with a commitment to upholding the highest standards of professionalism and integrity.
