About the Role

McHale Landscape Design is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Assistant Landscape Designer to join our design team. As an Assistant Landscape Designer, you will play a key role in the design process and implementation of residential projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct site analysis, including field measurements, plant identification, and the use of laser levels to record elevations.
  • Prepare base maps, designs, as-builts, and construction details, including master plans and perspectives, using CAD-based software.
  • Take photographs of sites and create 3-D models and slideshows for sales presentations using Sketch-up, Lumion, and PowerPoint.
  • Collaborate with partnered professionals and assist in the permit process.
  • Correspond with clients during the design and installation process.
  • Coordinate subcontractors and manage subcontractor agreements for assigned projects.
  • Participate in design presentations and sales meetings with clients.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in the landscape industry, with residential landscape experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CAD-based software.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated comfort working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
