Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated Agricultural Extension Agent to join our team at North Dakota State University. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing effective educational programs in agriculture, natural resources, and community development.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement educational programs in agriculture, natural resources, and community development.
  • Work with local communities, stakeholders, and partners to identify needs and develop solutions.
  • Provide leadership and support to volunteers and staff members.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports of program activities and outcomes.
Requirements
  1. Bachelor's degree in agronomy, agricultural economics, animal science, crop science, production agriculture, agribusiness, or related field.
  2. Ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences.
  3. Basic computer skills and ability to use Microsoft Office programs.
  4. Valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications
  1. Master's degree in agronomy, agricultural economics, crop science, production agriculture, agribusiness, education, or related field.
  2. Experience in designing and delivering educational programs.
  3. Working knowledge of 4-H and/or other youth programs.
Compensation

The estimated annual salary for this position is $60,000 - $80,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
