Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Senior Logistician to join our team at Chesapeake, VA. In this role, you will identify preventative maintenance practices that will eliminate or delay component/system failure and build a stronger US Navy.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform technically accurate research using construction drawings, logistics documents, technical manuals, and vendors to accurately perform equipment maintenance.
  
• Perform parts research and part number cross-referencing in all facets of the federal stock system to identify repair parts and cost.
  
• Ability to identify equipment and tools required to perform the maintenance.
  
• Interfacing with customer personnel, vendors, and military personnel.
  

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with a minimum of two (2) years of experience and comprehensive knowledge of providing preventive maintenance practices on military, commercial, and recreational marine industry boats under 200 feet.
  
• Experience with Microsoft Office products, specifically Excel.
  
• Must be able to travel as needed up to 25%.
  
• Must possess a valid driver's license.
  
• Must have or obtain a U.S. Passport within 90 days of being hired.
  

Preferred Requirements

• Ability to write comprehensive maintenance procedures.
  

Clearance Requirements

• Current and active secret security clearance.
  

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.
  
• Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
  
• Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
  
• Often positions self to maintain computers in the lab, including under the desks and in the server closet.
  
• Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
  
• May be asked to move Audio/Visual or Computer equipment.
