Medical Support Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team at Carle Health. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our medical and nursing staff in the examination and treatment of patients.
Key Responsibilities- Perform a variety of routine direct patient care duties to assist medical and nursing staff in the examination and treatment of patients.
- Obtain vitals and collect data for patients to be seen by providers.
- Assist providers with procedures, including EKGs, ear washes, vision screenings, and point-of-care testing.
- Clean and stock exam rooms to ensure a safe and clean environment for patients.
- Process specimens correctly and apply and charge for Durable Medical Equipment.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Previous healthcare experience preferred.
- Ability to multitask and demonstrate compassion and caring in dealing with others.
