Job Summary

An Assembly Technician will be responsible for producing high-precision assemblies or components with strict adherence to established instructions. The job requires attention to fine detail and an ability to maintain consistent process proven by frequent in-process inspection.

Key Responsibilities
  • Use tools and equipment to produce high-precision assemblies or components and meet daily production targets
  • May require the use of test equipment to measure completed work and work in process
  • Weight, properly label, and transfer chemicals and adhesives for use in assembly
  • Communicate with lead, supervisor, or area manager about any issues or problems in production immediately
  • Process parts or components on jobs in queue 100% of available time
  • Ensure that all required data entry is occurring for each job and that all required information is being accurately entered
  • Adhere to check-good-pass-good inspection criteria and in-process inspection for all jobs, including daily calibration and expiration checks for all areas where work is to be done
  • Clean and maintain tooling, machinery, and work area daily
Requirements
  • Familiarity with computers, including Microsoft Office
  • Proficient math skills
  • Ability to follow, repeat, and adhere to detailed instructions while maintaining an attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a challenging, fast-paced, and high-stress environment
  • Good mental dexterity and visual acuity
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to maintain a clean environment and work to maintain the environment as such
  • Good time management skills
Work Environment

May involve the use of oils and solvents. Subject to some soilage and irritation from cleaning solutions. (Lab coats provided.) Generally, works in a clean environment and works to maintain the environment as such. Safety glasses are required. May require area-specific safety training. This position works in a manufacturing environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. The employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles. May work at different workstations as needs require.
