Peer Support Specialist

Rimrock Foundation is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Peer Support Specialist to join our team. As a Certified Behavioral Health Peer Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting patients in their recovery journey.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide emotional, informational, instrumental, and affiliation support services to patients.
- Assist patients in setting recovery goals and action plans.
- Connect patients to resources related to recovery, including sober housing, job skills, and education.
- Complete required documentation, including spreadsheets and progress notes.
- Assist patients with collateral issues, such as criminal justice and coexisting physical or mental challenges.
- Encourage education and employment advancement and assist with sober problem solving.
- Model core recovery values, including tolerance, acceptance, and gratitude.
- Teach and demonstrate appropriate self-expression and self-reflection.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Two years of recovery experience.
- Completion of a state-approved Peer Support Training Program and certification.
- One hour of clinical supervision for every twenty hours worked.
- Twenty continuing education credits per year related to SUD or mental health services.
