Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Special Education Teacher to join our award-winning team. As a Special Education Teacher, you will plan, prepare, and implement instructional processes for students with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs). You will work collaboratively with students, parents, and staff to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement individualized lesson plans that cater to the unique needs of each student
- Provide direct instruction and support to students in subjects such as reading, writing, math, and science
- Assist with classroom management and behavior support strategies
- Maintain accurate records and reports on student progress
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum materials and educational software
- Bachelor's degree or higher in education or a related field
- Meet all state teaching license and/or certification requirements
- Licensed in or have the ability to obtain a special education credential
- Prior experience and knowledge in curriculum development, differentiation, and instruction in a classroom setting
- Prior experience and/or knowledge in alternative educational services for at-risk students and working with students with diverse needs at various levels
- An estimated salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per year
