Job Description

The Cloud Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining the infrastructure environments that support Alphatec Spine's business operations. This includes the configuration and life-cycle maintenance of physical, virtual, and cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ownership of production and pre-production technology systems in a hybrid cloud/datacenter environment
  • Manage and support Active Directory, VMWare technologies, and educate supporting infrastructure teams on continual operations tasks
  • Lead Server Administration activities and implement efficiencies into ATEC's server management practices
  • Lead strategic projects, including infrastructure projects, business intelligence projects, and software development projects
  • Monitor productions systems, respond to and troubleshoot incidents, and assist the team with the implementation/improvement of monitoring capabilities and response
  • Manage the vision, design, and deployment of cloud infrastructure, including computer, storage, network systems, and applications
  • Provide cloud hosting service management strategy, process, and procedures across the organization
  • Lead a consistent, measurable process to operationalize and scale cloud-based strategic initiatives and execution
  • Identify and implement critical KPIs and metrics necessary to manage and monitor the performance of overall operations, including capacity, availability, budget, and inventory
  • Develop opportunities for cross-team effectiveness and remove organizational barriers for strong teamwork, collaboration, and excellent service delivery
  • Manage adherence to security and compliance safeguards, policies, and procedures
  • Ensure compliance and certification regarding relevant standards as well as regulations
Requirements
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure and/or equivalent environments and operations
  • System administration experience with Windows Server 2016, 2019, and 2022 operating systems
  • Proven ability to drive transformation regarding business process improvement initiatives for mid to large-scale organizations
  • Experience integrating with 3rd party service platforms
  • Ability to partner cross-functionally in order to drive complex strategic projects
  • Excellent project management skills and ability to work to deadlines successfully managing multiple business-driven initiatives
  • Knowledge of Active Directory, including Group Policy creation and management
  • Experience in server and desktop virtualization platforms such as VMWare/Hyper-V
  • Experience with automated monitoring systems and technologies, with practical knowledge of MS SCOM, and SCCM, Endpoint Manager, and automated patching procedures

Salary Range: $98,000 to $104,000 Full-Time Annual Salary
