Postdoctoral Position in Neuroinflammation Research

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled postdoctoral researcher to join our team at the Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA. The successful candidate will work closely with Dr. Garcia-Bonilla to design and conduct experiments, analyze data, and present findings in written form and to meetings.

About the Role

This is a minimum one-year appointment contingent upon satisfactory annual reviews. The salary is commensurate with NIH guidelines and applicant experience, estimated to be around $52,000-$60,000 per year.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and conduct experiments on neuroinflammation in cerebrospinal fluid clinical samples
  • Analyze and interpret data from various research projects
  • Present research findings to colleagues and at scientific meetings
Requirements
  • PhD or MD/PhD in biomedicine, molecular/cellular biology, or neuroscience
  • Experience working with animals and cultures
  • Strong background in cell biology, biochemistry, molecular biology, and immunology
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
