This is a unique opportunity to join our team of educators and make a meaningful impact on the lives of our students. With a minimum of 1+ years of paraprofessional or special education experience, you'll possess the skills and knowledge to provide specialized instruction, support, and advocacy to our students.



Key Responsibilities:


  • Assist teachers in delivering instruction and support to students in various educational settings
  • Work with individual students or small groups to reinforce learning concepts and develop their skills
  • Implement behavior management strategies as directed by the teacher to ensure a safe and productive learning environment
  • Assist with classroom management and organization of materials to optimize student learning
  • Provide instructional assistance in areas such as reading, writing, math, and other subjects to support student success
  • Support students with special needs, including physical, emotional, or learning disabilities, to ensure their inclusion and participation in educational activities
  • Supervise students during non-instructional periods, such as lunch, recess, and field trips, to promote their safety and well-being
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other school staff to support the overall educational goals of the school and promote a culture of inclusivity and support


Requirements:


  • High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of at least 60 college credit hours preferred
  • Experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting preferred
  • Knowledge of educational principles and practices beneficial
  • Certified to be a Paraprofessional in the state of Wisconsin preferred, with certification maintained through continuing education as outlined by the Wisconsin State Board of Education

Estimated salary for this position is $40,000 - $60,000 per year, based on location and experience.
