Correctional Officer

Sierra Conservation Center is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Correctional Officer to join our team. As a Correctional Officer, you will be responsible for the custody, supervision, and security of inmates at our facility.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct regular rounds of the facility to ensure the security and safety of inmates and staff
- Monitor and respond to emergency situations, such as fights or escapes
- Provide guidance and support to inmates, promoting a rehabilitative environment
- Collaborate with other staff members to maintain a safe and secure facility
- Must be a permanent, full-time Correctional Officer with completed Correctional Officer Apprenticeship Program
- Ability to work overtime and travel
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
