Senior Systems Engineer

ZOLL Resuscitation is a leader in delivering innovative medical devices and software solutions to save lives.
We are seeking an experienced Senior Systems Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Acute Care Technology division, you will be responsible for designing and developing complex systems associated with our product lines, including defibrillators, patient monitors, and ventilators.
Job Summary:
- You will work closely with project managers to establish system-level requirements for new and enhanced products.
- You will be part of a development team that translates system-level requirements into product architecture and system-level design.
- You will ensure that new product architecture meets system-level requirements and is adaptable enough to support product lifecycle plans and objectives.
- You will help establish performance, interface, safety, and cost specifications for each subsystem within the selected architecture.
- You will contribute to system-level risk management activities associated with assigned programs.
- You will work with program managers and others to allocate system functionality among electronic/software/mechanical subsystems.
- You will recommend hardware/software/mechanical trade-offs, cost/time/performance trade-offs, and safety decisions necessary to meet product clinical performance, reliability, manufacturability/serviceability, regulatory, and business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- You will develop and refine system-level design, identify and resolve subsystem performance and interface issues, and resolve cross-functional design issues that have system-level impacts.
- You will contribute to team efforts during subsystem integration and verification testing phases to ensure that critical subsystems meet their individual performance, interface, and system integration goals.
- You will document system-level design, operating principles, and subsystem interface specifications for new and existing products.
- You will research and document relationships between clinical requirements, architectural decisions, performance requirements, and product evolution plans.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, including training and experience in three of the following: systems, electronics, software, and mechanical engineering.
- 7+ years' experience developing electronic hardware and embedded software systems subsystems for complex, real-time measuring instruments.
- Knowledge and experience in low-level analog signal acquisition, digital/microprocessor systems design, power supplies, embedded real-time software development, digital signal processing, real-time operating systems, analog/digital control systems, displays, batteries, data storage, and wireless communications systems.
Salary Range: $120,000 - $180,000 per year
