Akelius Residential Property AB seeks an experienced Energy Sustainability Expert to join the Construction team.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in energy and water efficiency, with 5+ years of relevant work experience. A Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction, or building science is required. The ideal candidate will have expertise in energy auditing and modelling, as well as certifications such as LEED, WELL, or Certified Energy Manager (CEM).

The Energy Sustainability Expert will be responsible for identifying and implementing energy-saving opportunities across Akelius properties and future acquisitions. This includes analyzing building utility consumption and cost data, evaluating building potential prior to acquisition, and managing energy and water efficiency audits.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Analyzing building utility consumption and cost data
  • Evaluating building potential prior to acquisition
  • Managing energy and water efficiency audits
  • Recommending measures for reducing utility consumption
  • Planning and implementing measures with asset management and construction team
  • Measuring and verifying savings from implemented measures
  • Conducting trainings for construction and property staff
  • Supporting the development of efficiency guidelines and standards
  • Managing energy projects implementation
  • Monitoring energy-focused incentives and rebates
  • Submitting energy-focused incentives and rebates
  • Assisting in inspections of properties
  • Completing various energy-related reporting

A competitive salary of $95,000 per year is offered, along with benefits including 401k with match, annual fitness benefit, and internal industry-specific education and training.
