Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Sleep Technologist to join our dynamic team at the Maine Medical Center. As a key member of our care team, you will play a critical role in diagnosing and treating sleep and waking disorders in infants, children, and adults.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform technical laboratory work of sleep disorder testing with direct and extensive patient contact.
  • Conduct sleep studies and analyze test results to inform diagnostic and treatment decisions.
  • Collaborate with certified sleep physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.
  • Communicate clearly and empathetically with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Work independently under minimal supervision, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively to meet deadlines.
Requirements
  • High School education supplemented by coursework in physical and biological sciences.
  • Current BLS Certification and credentialed as a RPSGT by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologies.
  • One year of experience in the sleep medicine field, with a strong understanding of sleep disorders and diagnostic testing.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
