Site Reliability Engineer

Job Summary
Comcast's Entertainment & AI Platforms division is seeking a DevOps engineer to design and develop cloud infrastructure for X1 Video Platform (XVP) powering various products like Xfinity X1 and Sky Glass.
We challenge ourselves to be the best video platform for our customers, and we are seeking a result-oriented team player who has a passion for building highly scalable, distributed, cloud-native systems.
Core Responsibilities
- Automate tools to supervise system health and reliability to support business process requirements.
- Solve and resolve issues in development, test, and production environments.
- Implements new, supports current cloud infrastructure. Assists with the software update process for existing applications and roll-outs of software releases.
- Works with Quality Assurance team to determine if infrastructure fits specification and technical requirements.
- Help automate and streamline operations and processes.
- Build and maintain tools for deployment, monitoring and operations.
- Participate on a multi-functional team, collaborate with team members, and embrace the scrum agile methodology of software design.
Requirements
- 2-3 years DevOps experience.
- Experience with Amazon Web Services.
- A Linux or Unix background.
- Experience with Terraform and Ansible or other automation deployment tools.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, Fargate, microservices or related technologies.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- A passion for working in technology as demonstrated by personal project work, open-source contributions, personal websites or participation in tech communities.
Preferred Experience Requirement
- Understanding of some form of CI/CD (Jenkins, Concourse, GitHub Actions, etc).
- A background in a scripting language like Python, Ruby, or Java.
- Knowledge of Git, JIRA, Confluence, Slack.
