Data Center Project Manager

About the Role:
Carter Machinery is seeking a highly skilled Data Center Project Manager to join our team. As a Data Center Project Manager, you will be responsible for providing technical knowledge and comprehensive management to execute Power Systems sales orders per project specifications. This role requires a strong understanding of industrial/electrical power generation systems equipment project management and the ability to promote maximum gross profit while ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide technical knowledge and comprehensive management to execute Power Systems sales orders per project specifications
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, contractors, consultants, engineers, vendors, and utility companies
• Ensure compliance with applicable electrical and regulatory codes
• Manage and coordinate project timelines, budgets, and resources
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals
• Provide excellent verbal and written communication skills
Requirements:
• Minimum two years of industrial/electrical power generation systems equipment project management experience
• Basic knowledge of BAS/BMS communication, Protective relaying, Breaker design and functionality, Modbus/Ethernet communication, Generator paralleling, Diesel engine operating requirements/room design, Fuel and Cooling systems, Emissions regulations and testing
• Functional competency on all associated software and operating systems, including Word, Excel, EBMS, Sales Force, DBS, Cat PowerNet, SIS-WEB, PSQ, Lotus Notes, EOMP, AutoCAD and Adobe Standard
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Self-starter able to work with limited supervision
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude required
• Strong leadership skills and a commitment to teamwork
• Must be able to multi-task while maintaining organized and detailed
• Experience in conflict resolution with contractors, consultants, engineers, vendors, utility companies, end-users, etc.
• Able to travel and work hours required for job and customer demand
• Clean driving record and a valid driver's license required
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time
• Ability to lift, carry and maneuver items up to 20 pounds in weight
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and ability to adjust focus
• This position may require reaching, standing, stooping, kneeling, bending and climbing beside, onto and under a variety of heavy equipment
