Health and Wellness Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated Health and Wellness Operations Manager to join our team at Oliver's Market. This role will be responsible for supporting the overall operations of the wellness department, ensuring excellent customer service, and driving business growth.
Salary and BenefitsThe estimated annual salary for this position is between $50,000 and $60,000, depending on experience. Our competitive benefits package includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, employee stock ownership plan (ESOP), and paid time off.
Key Responsibilities- Customer Service
Provide exceptional customer service by addressing customer needs, answering questions, and resolving issues in a timely and effective manner.
- Inventory Management
Assist in the supervision, delegation of tasks, and development of the wellness team in the absence of the wellness manager. Accountable for inventory management on the floor, including merchandising, facing products, pulling inventory, rotating perishable items, proper and accurate signage, product placement, etc.
- Financial Acumen
Demonstrate a basic understanding of the financial needs of the wellness department. Assist with completing all human resources administration and compliance duties, including scheduling, reviews, time and attendance, company policy compliance, and terminations.
- Team Leadership
Responsible for the breakdown and inspection of delivery/vendor orders. Ensure deliveries are properly organized and stored in appropriate areas. Provide and maintain a professional work environment for the growth and development of the department.
- Communication
Communicate effectively with coworkers and outside vendors. Answer phones and pages promptly and courteously. Follow and ensure compliance with established procedures, including weight and measures, health and sanitation, and safe work practices.
- Maintenance
Maintain and ensure maintenance of a clean and sanitary working and shopping environment. Work all scheduled shifts and attend required trainings and meetings.
Requirements and Qualifications- Education
High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Experience
At least 2 years of grocery retail experience, with 1 year in a leadership role. Experience in the field of supplements and body care is preferred.
- Skills
Basic math skills, ability to prioritize and delegate tasks, follow directions, and maintain attention to detail. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Work EnvironmentThis role requires frequent lifting/carrying of up to 10 pounds and occasional lifting/carrying of up to 50 pounds. Constant standing/walking is expected in a workday. Work requires standing, walking, bending, twisting, squatting, kneeling, and reaching. Bending and twisting at waist and neck, hand use: single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling. Occasional exposure to extreme temperatures from work in and around freezers, coolers, refrigerators, ovens, stovetops, grills, barbeques, etc., inside and outside of the store in all weather conditions. May require use of ladders or step stools. Exposure to FDA-approved cleaning chemicals (gas, fumes, chemicals). Interstitial noise from equipment and machinery. Wear non-slip, water and oil-resistant closed-toe shoes.
