Planet Technologies, a leading Microsoft services provider to the public sector, seeks a highly motivated individual to fill a critical role in our growing team as a Strategic Cloud Solutions Architect. In this position, you will play a pivotal part in supporting impactful projects that make a difference for our country.

The Solutions Architect will be responsible for leading a team of mid-to-senior developers, determining and architecting cloud-based solutions, and working directly with the customer as the subject matter expert/advisor to design and modernize business applications. This role will serve as the technical expert on executive-level projects, providing technical and business explanations and justifications for architectural, design, and coding approaches.

This position requires:

  • Ability to assess technical feasibility of requirements, lead solution design, and oversee technical implementation of projects.
  • Develops understanding of functional and nonfunctional requirements.
  • Breaks down development into epics and user stories, and assigns to developers based on skills and requirements.
  • Lead the architectural design and development of end-to-end software solutions, encompassing both front-end and back-end technologies.
  • The Architect will be technical team lead for implementing, supporting, and enhancing custom applications using full stack custom development, C#, Power Apps, React, Angular, and SharePoint.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, designers, and product managers, to define project requirements and create technical roadmaps.
  • Design robust, scalable, and maintainable architecture that aligns with the organization's goals and industry best practices.
  • Evaluate and select appropriate technologies, frameworks, and tools to ensure optimal performance and efficiency across the entire technology stack.
  • Provide technical guidance to development teams, offering design feedback, and ensuring adherence to architectural standards.
  • Identify and mitigate technical risks, troubleshooting complex issues and proposing solutions to maintain project timelines and quality.
  • Stay current with emerging trends and technologies in software development, evaluating their potential to enhance the organization's technical capabilities.
  • Works with developers and project managers and is responsible for all aspects of solution design including entity, modeling, security design, and technical documentation.
  • Conducts code reviews and documents best practices.

In terms of compensation, this position offers an estimated salary of $150,000 - $200,000 per year, depending on experience, making it a highly competitive opportunity in the market.
