About the Opportunity

Duke Health is seeking an experienced Transplant Coordinator to join our team. This is a salaried position that requires rotational weekends and holidays when covering on-call. The ideal candidate will have 5 years of nursing experience, with at least two years in transplant, critical care, or disease-specific areas.

Job Summary

The Transplant Coordinator coordinates solid organ transplantation for pediatric heart candidates and recipients, providing advanced nursing care along the continuum of outpatient to inpatient services. Responsibilities include coordinating evaluation processes, assessing post-transplant organ function, and facilitating scheduling of studies or procedures. The coordinator will also participate in developing and implementing protocols and standards of care, as well as educating patients and staff about transplantation and organ donations.
