This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and compassionate RNFA to work closely with our surgical team, providing exceptional care to patients undergoing various surgical procedures.

Responsibilities

">

The ideal candidate will be responsible for:

">
  • ">
  • Providing hemostasis and wound exposure, handling tissue to reduce the potential for injury, suturing tissue, and applying dressings to the wound under the direction of the surgeon.">
  • Utilizing the nursing process and functions as the patient advocate for the patient's plan of care based on an accurate/concise patient assessment.">
  • Demonstrating knowledge of aseptic techniques when functioning in the perioperative setting in role of circulating and scrub nurse.">
  • Performing and documenting accurate and complete sponge, needle, sharps, and instrument counts.">
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary healthcare team members when providing nursing care.">
  • Responding in the required time frame for emergent surgical cases and being prepared/ready within the required time frame.">
  • Working with anesthesia providers in delivering nursing care to patients requiring anesthesia.">
  • Maintaining a safe environment for optimal patient outcomes.">
  • Communicating effectively with patients, visitors, and health care team members.">
  • Transporting patients postoperatively and communicating information to receiving units.">
  • Assisting in performance improvement activities and utilizing data to positively impact patient outcomes.">

Requirements

">

To be successful in this role, you will need:

">
  • ">
  • A graduate degree from an accredited school of nursing.">
  • Current registration to practice in the state where work is being performed.">
  • Successful completion of RNFA program and internship that meets AORN's Standards for RN First Assistant Programs criteria.">
  • BCLS certification.">
  • CNOR certification.">
  • Two years of operating room experience in both the scrub and circulating roles as an RN.">

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, retirement savings plan, paid time off, and continuing education opportunities.
