About the Role: We are seeking an experienced and self-motivated individual to fill the position of Mechanic/Millwright at the Dallas Silicates Plant with our Manufacturing Facility located in Dallas, Texas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain protection of the environment and the health and safety of our employees, customers, and the communities in which we operate and/or transport our products.
  • Monitor condition of rotating machinery utilizing parameters including vibration, temperature, pressures, flows and currents.
  • Understand and assess the daily operation of various types of equipment including, pumps, gear boxes, conveyors, screw feeders, and blowers.
  • Perform preventative/predictive maintenance and troubleshoot problems.
  • Be familiar with SAP, RMP, warehouse parts management, design specifications, and applicable MI procedures.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • A minimum of 5 years mechanical experience in any of the following: millwright or mechanic activities in an industrial environment
  • Must be able to read process flow diagrams, P&IDs, mechanical drawings and follow mechanical specifications.
  • Must be skilled in the following: millwright or mechanic, safe use of shop tools, basic machining skills, basic welding skills, proper rigging knowledge.
  • This position requires proof of the NCCER certification or another industry or nationally recognized standard prior to employment.
  • Able to work overtime, weekends and holidays as needed to maintain a 24/7 operating plant.
  • Ability to read, speak, and write English.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to work as part of a team.

Additional Desired Qualifications:

  • Good working knowledge of SAP.
  • Welding and pipe fitting knowledge are a plus.
