Environmental Services Technician I, Per Diem

Maintain assigned areas in a sanitary, orderly, safe, and attractive condition. Ensure the cleanliness and organization of assigned spaces, adhering to hospital standards and protocols.
Key Responsibilities
• Clean assigned areas using appropriate cleaning solutions and disinfectants, including dry mopping and wet mopping non-carpet floors, vacuuming carpeted floors, stairs, and stairwells.
• Maintain all entries to the hospital, ensuring safety and cleanliness, and wash furnishings and equipment as needed.
• Dust windowsills, blinds, furniture, and other areas requiring dusting, and empty trash receptacles, replacing with new bags and transporting trash to the compactor and discarded cardboard to the appropriate recycling receptacle.
• Scour and polish sink, showers, toilets, mirrors, and similar equipment, replenishing supplies of soap, paper towels, and other disposable items as needed.
• Wash walls, ceiling vents, and windows, and make beds with clean linens in the prescribed manner, cleaning bed units at discharge and when exchanging rooms.
• Notify the supervisor when supplies are low and report work orders, mechanical failures, and unsafe conditions as necessary.
Requirements
• Housekeeping experience in a hospital or healthcare facility is preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
