Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Lifeguard to join our team at Penn State University. As a Head Lifeguard, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of all members and guests in our aquatic facilities. This includes conducting regular safety checks, responding to emergencies, and providing guidance and support to our lifeguard team.

Key Responsibilities:

* Conduct regular safety checks of the aquatic facilities to ensure compliance with American Red Cross and Penn State policies and procedures.
* Respond to emergencies and provide first aid as needed.
* Provide guidance and support to our lifeguard team, including training and development opportunities.
* Maintain a clean and safe aquatic environment by performing and assigning light cleaning duties and tasks as needed.

Requirements:

* American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification.
* Completion of Penn State University Bloodborne Pathogens training.
* Both criminal and FBI background checks (obtained prior to first shift).
* Ability to work a variable schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and some holiday hours.
