Stryten Energy, a leading innovator in energy storage solutions, is seeking a skilled Machinist to join our team in Columbus. Our company specializes in producing critical automotive, motive power, and essential power battery components using a proven plastic injection molding methodology.

Job Summary

We are looking for a talented Machinist with experience in mold repair and maintenance to support our molding department's production objectives. As a Machinist at Stryten Energy, you will be responsible for performing scheduled and emergency repairs on all injection molds, ensuring work is performed in a neat and professional manner, and working on special projects as assigned.

Responsibilities
  • Perform timely and effective mold repair and maintenance tasks to support the molding department's production objectives.
  • Respond to problem tags and carry out repairs as needed.
  • Ensure work areas are organized and efficient, with minimal waste and downtime.
  • Work collaboratively with process engineering to improve molding processes through tooling improvements and processing.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot tooling problems, implementing corrections to ensure optimal performance.
  • Assist with Root Cause Analysis and repetitive failures related to injection molds.
  • Contribute to engineering projects and modification work as required.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, including 5S and lean manufacturing practices.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Apprenticeship Training certificate (preferred but not required).
  • Five years of experience as a Machinist in an injection molding environment (preferred).
  • Strong understanding of mold construction and mold maintenance principles.
  • Familiarity with NC milling machines, NC lathes, surface grinding, EDM machine operation, and basic math and trigonometry.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Compensation and Benefits

The estimated salary range for this position is $60,000-$80,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings, paid time off, and opportunities for career growth and development.
