Operating Room Nurse with Excellent Communication Skills

We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Nurse to join our team at Danbury Hospital.
About the RoleThis is a full-time opportunity for a skilled nurse who can provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. As an Operating Room Nurse, you will be responsible for preparing patients for surgery, administering anesthesia, and monitoring vital signs during procedures.
Your expertise and calm demeanor will be essential in ensuring a smooth experience for patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough pre-operative assessments to identify potential risks and develop individualized plans of care.
- Administer medications and monitor patients' responses to ensure safe and effective anesthesia.
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and achieve optimal outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient interactions, treatments, and outcomes.
- A current RN license in the State of Connecticut.
- BLS certification.
- A minimum of one year of experience as an OR nurse or completion of a Periop 101 program.
- Nursing certification in a related specialty.
- A Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
We offer a competitive salary of $45,000 for this role, commensurate with experience. In addition to your base pay, you may be eligible for bonuses and other incentives.

Working ConditionsThis role requires frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds and prolonged standing. You will work in a fast-paced environment with exposure to dirt, odors, noise, and human waste.
